PROJECTS ALL OVER SENEGAL

Since 2022 SEV is developing a partnership with the German manufacturer UST Umwelt-Systemtechnik GmbH (UST). UST is developing and producing water disinfection systems using ultraviolet radiation (UV-C) and/ or Ozone for more than 20 years (https://www.ust-gera.de/en/).

Adding UST's systems to our projects, we are now able to provide a complete service: Solar energy with PV-modules, solar water pumps to produce water and PURE WATER systems to convert the produced water to hygiene drinking water.

In June 2023 the cooperation of SEV and UST progressed with 2 major joint projects. In Kafountine 2 of UST's ULTRA V41/O3-SOLAR systems were installed. One of the systems is now providing hygiene drinking water for the local hospital. The other system was installed at vocational business school treating the pond water of the fish farm with the aim to increase output. Both projects are supported through the Renewable-Energy-Solutions Programms (RES Programm) of the German Energy Solutions Initiative of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.

THE ULTRA V41/O3-SOLAR provides disinfection through two stages. In the first stage ozone is generated from the oxygen molecules of the ambient air and injected into the water flowing through the system. Ozone is the strongest substance used for water disinfection. In the second stage a disinfection with UV-C follows. UV-C is the faster method to reduce microorganism in the water, it also can be used to destroy excess ozone. The ULTRA V41/O3-SOLAR is operated with 24 VDC and powered by a PV-module. A fully autarkic solution.

With the aim of positioning German technologies and know-how worldwide, the German Energy Solutions Initiative of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Action (BMWK) supports suppliers of climate-friendly energy solutions in opening up foreign markets. The focus lies on renewable energies, energy efficiency, smart grids and storage, as well as technologies such as power-to-gas and fuel cells. Aimed in particular at small and medium-sized enterprises, the German Energy Solutions Initiative supports participants through measures to prepare market entry as well as to prospect, develop and secure new markets. www.german-energy-solutions.de/en

With the RES programme, the Energy Export Initiative of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Action (BMWK) helps German companies in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors enter new markets. Within the framework of the programme, reference plants are installed and marketed with the support of the German Energy Agency (dena).
